Move-even in your busiest moments
I had my yearly appointment with my gynecologist this past week, and she expressed her concern for the many females who walk into her practice with so much stress and anxiety, which then causes all kinds of other problems.
We then began speaking about the importance of exercise and its effect on reducing our stress.
I know I'm speaking to the choir, but in the days ahead, as we make our way into the holiday season, give yourself time to move, stretch, and breathe!
Our families and jobs often get our full attention until we feel completely out of balance. So, what are some ways that you can give yourself more movement?
Here are a few ways I get my movement in on my busiest days.
*I take a 15-minute walk at lunch
*After my last client, I lift weights -yes, usually for 10-15 minutes.
*I get on my Pilates reformer for 15 minutes
*This month, I'm working on getting up a bit earlier and meditating for 5-10 minutes(this one is always harder for me)
On days when you think you can't get in the movement you want, change your mindset and find small movement snacks throughout your day that lift your heart rate, lift your spirits, stretch your legs, twist your torso, and breathe!
If you only have 5-15 minutes, I have short videos on my YouTube and on-demand sites. So you don't have to leave your office to keep moving.
Wishing you a season of love, peace, and joy!
