Why Am I Thinking About ‘Shapes?’

Why am I thinking about "shapes" this week?

I really don't know, but I've been thinking about them a lot!
I have a scale in my bathroom...that my husband uses.
It's just a square...so why does it make me tense?

So, I got to thinking about the shapes in my home and how each one makes me feel. I'm doing my best to help others, as well as myself, turn inward and feel:) Or maybe I just think weird, but I will embrace it.

THE SQUARE!

Why does this square bring me anxious thoughts? I do think it may have something to do with years of trying to lose weight, going to weight watchers every week, and the snarky comments made when my weight went up by two-tenths (.2) of a pound!
I chose years ago to never weigh myself, I just make sure my clothes feel good and I feel healthy. I decided to make peace with this square and told myself it's ok to be present there for my husband, but I don't need to use it.

THE RECTANGLE!

I have a lot of rectangles in my home. As I walked around, I tuned in to how I feel about each rectangle. The first rectangle is my yoga mat. The place I feel at peace, I move with joy, and feel so calm when I stand anywhere on this rectangle. My kitchen table where so many wonderful conversations take place. My pilates reformer that continues to guide my body. My couch that I can rest on!

THE CIRCLE!

This is a picture of my dining room table. It's the first thing you may see when you enter my home. I have heard so many say, "wow, I want to sit around this table with friends and talk." Circles remind me of unity, continuity, and community coming together and gathering. I look forward to hosting 12 people around this circle, again. I love when we place rectangular yoga mats together to form a circle so we can see each other.
I realized I like to eat my oatmeal out of a round bowl🤷‍♀️

Go look around your home

Check in with the shapes that are in your home and tune in to how they make you feel.

My yoga and pilates studio thrives because of your referrals.
If you know anyone that is looking to take a yoga or pilates class, I would love to connect with them and help them find good vibes on the rectangles in my home.

Oh, and thank you for reading my crazy thoughts!

Movement, love, and laughter to you!
