love without measure
"The secret to living well and longer is this:
Eat half, walk double, laugh triple, and love without measure." ~ Tibetan Proverb
I'm a sucker for a wedding. I love the ritual, I love the smiles on the bride and groom's faces, I love to watch the parents watch their kids. I love the way the word LOVE enters every reading, and song. The wedding I attended Yesterday was so full of LOVE! Every smile and every word spoken spilled over with Love.
Love is a word that is used so often these days, I often wonder if the person saying it to me actually means it. Then after I ponder this thought, I realize it is such a gift for this person to be able to express this feeling.
"the way you love yourself sets the example
for how everyone else will love you. Set the bar by showing yourself respect, loyalty, compassion, kindness, care, and vulnerability.
Show us all how loving you is done"~ Cleo Wade
Every pilates & Yoga class I taught this past year, I have read from Cleo Wade's book"Heart Talk." It is a beautiful collection of poems. Each day I open the book and a new page unfolds with words that teach us the way to opening our heart to love. This has been powerful for me to be able to read these words and then work hard to act on them. As I often say, we are taking yoga off the mat.
Weddings are a beautiful reminder to find love in all things, but since we can't attend them every day, we need to give ourselves little reminders about seeing the love in the little things and the big things, and often the very mundane moments of our life.
Love is an action verb
I loved back
not because
their love
sounded sweet
but because
their love
had feet
it did not
tell you where it was going
it showed you~Cleo Wade
This week find love in the mundane, laugh triple, and love without measure!
