Change is hard work-how to do it with a good story to tell

"Your time on Earth is limited. Don't try to "age with grace." Age with mischief, audacity, and a good story to tell." -Author unknown

I was listening to a podcast the other day, and the host shared his story of alcoholism.  What struck me the most was how he shared his difficulty with the act of making such a big change. You could hear the agony in his voice.

I agree-change is hard work.

Change is often not fun.

You can lose friendships as you change.

Change can be really rewarding.

Change can help us grow.

Change can help us gain new friendships.

Change can be healthy, and change can be unhealthy.

We can change our minds at any time.

Change may come with big decision-making,

Or it could be a small step to a bigger decision.

I usually like change, as I get bored with things being stagnant. I can quickly adjust and change if things don’t seem to work for me. (You could ask my family, and they may or may not agree:)0

I’m with my mom this weekend; her body and mind are changing and challenging her.  I can hear the sadness in her voice as the change in her routine is more difficult. She lost a dear friend a few months ago, and not being able to text or connect is a very difficult change.  Watching this change and challenge made me appreciate the above quote even more!

We are here on this earth to be challenged with changes of all kinds.

How can we embrace change and approach it with mischief, audacity, and “a good story to tell?”
