Finding joy each day

“Inspiring you to connect mind and body so you can live a healthy, strong, joy filled life outside the studio” ~Mary Dellanina

If you haven’t read it lately, this quote is on the homepage of my website. I believe that joy shouldn’t just happen on Christmas morning, but everyday we should attempt to find moments of joy.

Joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

Yesterday we got together with college friends that we hadn’t been together with in at least 20 years.  Talk about joy!  We laughed until we cried. So many fun memories.

When a definition has the word feeling in it, it reminds me that it is a choice. Joy is not given to us, it is something we have to work at.

I feel like in December we are burning the wick at both ends, and we become exhausted from all that we are trying to get done before the 25th of the month.

Joy doesn’t have to be big, so how can we find this feeling in simple small ways?

Laugh just because

Move in ways that makes you feel good

Find gratitude in the big and small

Call a friend or family member

Bring to mind fun great memories

Gather with others

As you wrap a gift, imagine the joy upon opening.

May you find joy as you enter the 12 days before Christmas!
