A few things I learned while traveling:

  1. This country is beautiful: Even traveling mostly on our highway system, the hills, the trees, the water comes alive in the front window.

  2. Watching a young man ask person after person where he needs to go in the airport as he didn’t speak any English, made me realize the vulnerability of asking for help as well as trusting you will find your way.  Talk about facing your fears!

  3. Being in quiet - or just a podcast or book on tape- gave me so much time to reset my mind.

  4. Everyone’s idea of courage is different-be your version of courageous and have fun in this life!

  5. Just because you are a female doesn’t mean you can’t travel alone!

  6.  I’m so lucky as an American female that I can take to the open road.

  7. Be like a midwesterner and make sure you always have enough gas - oh and protein bars.

  8. Staying in a nice hotel so I could walk on a treadmill after driving.

  9. Finding a Bucky’s (aka nice bathroom) along the way is a gift!

  10. Ending a long trip with a yoga conference is a wonderful way to find balance again.

  11. It’s always a blessing when you make it to your destination without incident.

Wherever you go, may you learn more about yourself and our world.
