Silverheart Yoga & Pilates with

Are you looking for a teacher who helps you stay strong and balanced so you can live more joyfully?

I started taking yoga and pilates after three knee surgeries and three herniated discs in my lower back. I started learning for myself and then began to teach what I love so much!

For 15 years, I’ve been building a community of healthy and strong women. I love to help others feel confident in their bodies.

When you tell me:

*that you didn’t fall because of your yoga practice…

*that your blueberries fell all over the floor, and you could crawl around and pick them up…

*When you run around with your children and grandchildren without pain.

Your strength, balance, and joy make me smile. I love your stories—they fill my cup!

I enjoy learning the latest exercise science and sharing it with you.

We offer many options for you, from Pilates and Yoga group classes to Pilates Reformer private & semi-private classes. See you in class!

Mary is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and holds a 600-hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification.

Certified teacher of the RYC© (Restore Your Core) Method

Aside from yoga & pilates, I love to travel, bike, & hike. I enjoy spending time with family, reading, writing, & learning.

I began my teaching career as a fitness instructor, starting with high-impact aerobics and transitioning to lower-impact activities like step and spinning, and now, yoga. I began teaching yoga about 15 years ago, starting with Yogafit because it offered flexibility. I was able to balance my training with a full-time corporate job. I completed my 200-hour RYT in the spring of 2015, and what a celebratory moment that was!

I loved the journey through certification and learning about yoga philosophy in addition to the postures (Asanas). As I continue to deepen my understanding of yoga, I realize there is much to learn and apply off the mat. Yoga challenges me to balance effort with ease, and it benefits my other athletic pursuits, such as cycling and swimming.
I tried my first paddleboard yoga class in 2015, and I loved how it brought a different feel to the yoga postures, including falling off the board! I became certified in Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga in 2020 and hope to find a place to lead classes.

Kathy will be teaching Saturday mornings at her home studio and online via the Silverheart Yoga & Pilates on-demand site.
