Intuitive - listening to our bodies

We discussed this concept a lot with students this week. The importance of listening to our body as it really will tell us what it needs, but we have to often be still and present to listen.
Most days I spend a few minutes listening to how my body wants to move. Some days it’s an intense bike ride, some days it's a walk, most days it craves strengthening and stretching movements. After years of listening, (it’s taken me years!) I have learned not to push myself to do something that my body isn’t interested in doing. Since following this idea of listening, I realized last week that I have not been injured in such a long time.
How are you able to listen to what your body needs? Try spending a few quiet moments each day and tune in to what your body is asking of you. It may be an intense run, or it may be mediation or a calming yoga class.
Be intuitive, Be a great listener to your inner guide, your body will thank you.
