The case for going on Retreat

The case for retreating in nature:

Our bodies felt at ease the minute we drove into the 29 Palms Inn.

Quiet

Birds chirping

Joshua Trees, Palm Trees, boulders of all shapes and sizes.

Rest, replenish, and a sense of realizing how important it is to be in nature.

Yoga outside.

I'm on retreat this weekend with four amazing women. We quickly disconnected from the busyness of Chicago and are enjoying the serene desert.

Here in this space, we can rejuvenate mind/body/spirit.

That is what being on retreat is all about.

We talked about taking chances and saying yes to going away on a retreat even though we may be afraid or not know anyone. We talked about taking chances on ourselves and having a growth mindset. We laughed and laughed and did some climbing we were scared to do, but we did it!

What are some things that you need to retreat from? What are some things you need to say yes to? Are you able to get out in nature this week? What are some fears you can face?
