Failing, Falling, and getting back up again

Rebirth, Death, Rebirth…

When I think of us as humans living as humans tend to do.

We fail, we fall, we get up and start again.

We fail, we fall, we get up and start again.

And the beat goes on-hopefully.

I often think of humans as similar to plants. We need sunlight, air, and water. Certain times of year give us more time for growth than others. Sometimes plants get close to death, and with care, they are reborn.

I received this plant when my father died 10 years ago. This peace lily shows what it has every year in April—beautiful white flowers.

Peace Lily 10 years old this year.

The rest of the year, this is a green plant, and I wait each spring for it to open. The plant knows what to do and when the timing is right for it to sprout. It just needs this human to help out with its care.

As a human, I'm often impatient and wondering what my next step will be. Will I fall or fail at my next adventure? We can often get overwhelmed with this thought and not try to grow and bloom out of fear of what is next.

Think about your life as many deaths and rebirths. This is a wonderful reminder of getting back up after we fall or fail, no matter how many times.

And the beat goes on…
