Beauty can grow amongst the weeds

This past Monday, I headed to my garden to see what was growing.

I met this amazing gardener, and she exclaimed that she was tired from tending all her gardens (three in total). 

I pondered if I was tired from my gardening and realized I really wasn't. I then looked at her pristine garden and my very weedy one and realized why I wasn't as tired as she was. 

Her gardens are beautiful!!

She explained that an animal was eating a lot of her beets, and then she told me how wonderful my eggplants and beans look. 

Perhaps because I let my garden go weedy, the animal didn't eat my plants? I'm sure not.

But it got me thinking about how everything may look weedy on the outside, but still can grow beautifully. 

If you are a Wordle fan, Friday's word was Geode. Of course I had to look it up. They gave me the metaphorical and symbolic meanings as well as the regular definition

Of course, my garden is not a geode, but I love that I wanted to try my hand at gardening this summer. Even though the weeds took over much of it, the plants still rose to the occasion and produced some beautiful fruits. 

I hope when your mind starts to feel a bit weedy, you are able to know the beauty that lies within you.
